We thank you all for the many generous donations we receive, but at the moment, we are full and can physically take no more.
We experienced a pre-Christmas rush which has filled all our available space. Also, due to COVID restrictions we cannot have as many volunteers sorting as we normally would, so dealing with the backlog is taking a while. Please watch this space for updates – we hope to be back to something like normal once the LOCK-DOWN is lifted.
Our clothing store is open for donations – (see above notice)
we are now at 88 Kirkgate. Wakefield WF1 1TB. (The former Uniform Centre shop – the picture below, from Google Maps was clearly taken when it was still in open).
In between the entrance to the Trinity House block of flats and the Mega Pound Store – just down a bit from the Ridings Kirkgate entrance.
Please bring donations to the rear entrance, which is accessed by a service road (from George Street), just before the traffic lights. There is a doorbell to the left of the black doors, to the right of the flats back entrance, and with our Wakefield District City of Sanctuary sign also on the left – please ring to attract our attention during opening hours.
Directions to rear entrance:
We are open for Donations on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1:00pm- 3:00pm.
(These are reduced hours due to Coronavirus lock-down) Our weekly drop-in’s are no longer operating until further notice.
We can sometimes collect from you, if you are not too far away from Wakefield centre 🙂
