A Grand Day Out, Wakefield, is coming to the city centre on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 August for a full weekend of free activities brought to you by Wakefield Council.

Enjoy a giant sand pit where kids can play and get your cameras out as giant inflatable tentacles take over Wakefield Cathedral! Those looking for something a little different can head over to the Bullring and experience Colony. Colony is a collection of huge, inflatable blue spheres, which allow visitors to interact with them. Get up close and touch the spheres, and you can see, hear and feel the sound coming from them!

As well as Colony, visitors can see Designs In Air. These enormous inflatables come in a rainbow of colours and in all shapes and sizes.
