The General Election and Refugee Rights – Hustings in Wakefield!

As you’re all probably aware, a general election has been called for the 8th June 2017. General elections are a great opportunity to speak up for refugees and ensure that politicians from all parties are committed to ensuring that the UK is a welcoming place of safety for all people seeking sanctuary.

But, before the country goes to the polls, there are lots of ways to meet your local candidates and ask them to stand up for refugee rights!

We’ve done a bit of digging, and found that there’s a husting event already organised in Wakefield!

Wakefield Cathedral, 2nd June, 1.15pm – you can find out more about the event by clicking here
